Come on June 6th at 8a to share breakfast together, then team up to make our space both welcoming and functional. We’ll be cleaning out one of the last remaining shelves in the storage room, plus giving a quick spring cleaning to the rest of our space inside and out.
You don’t need to be a handy-man to come out and help! The diaconate would appreciate it if you RSVP by June 1st.
Questions? Get in touch with the deacons: deacons@ironworkschurch.org
If you’re not participating in the workday but would like to bring breakfast for the volunteers, you can sign up here for an item to bring.
This three-week class, running from June 7th to June 21st from 9:15 to 10:15a, is designed for school-aged children who are thinking about coming to the Lord’s table. Students will learn more about the communicants’ vows, the significance of communion, and what it means to be part of the church. Please register your child below by May 29th!
If you have a teenager who wants to come to the table, the Exploring Iron Works class in the fall might be a better fit for them. If you’re not sure, reach out to Pastor Kent.
Iron Works is a community where you can be deeply known. Pastor Kent and Anna Woodrow warmly invite you to start making connections with a newcomers' dinner at their home on June 7th at 6:30p - just let them know you're coming by contacting Anna: thosewoodrows@gmail.com or (703) 919-5683. They’d love to get to know you, and help you start getting to know Iron Works!
Summer is often a time when our community rhythms are on hold - a time when Sunday schools and Bible studies are on break, when it’s harder to connect with other families because of vacations and summer camps. Take some time to reconnect with a potluck meal after the service on July 5th. Please sign up to bring a dish (or two) so that we have plenty of food!
Additionally, plenty of help is needed for setting up the meal and cleaning up afterwards. If you can help (even if its just for fifteen minutes!) please contact administrator Annika Griffith.
Continue exploring the men’s ministry theme of this year, “Man on Mission,” with the final men’s breakfast of 2026. Come on July 18th from 7–9a to worship through music; be encouraged through a testimony; and connect with other men in a meal, fellowship, and discussion of the keynote presentation. Attendance is free, but men’s ministry at Iron Works would benefit greatly from a $3 donation at the door if you’re led to give.
Finally, please RSVP sooner rather than later! While walk-ins are also welcome, it’s a huge help for leaders to know how much food to prepare and how many tables and chairs to set up.

Join us for an urgent time of prayer for the life and mission of Iron Works.
As we look to the next year in the life of Iron Works, we absolutely need God's power to move forward united. Join your church family to spend time fasting and seeking God in prayer together.
We'll begin fasting at 7pm on Sept. 13 and break our fast together on Sept. 14 at 6p, followed by a prayer meeting. Sign up below to bring some food (don’t worry, whatever is low-effort/something you’d cook on a weeknight is fine!) or to help with setup and cleanup.
Online prayer & fasting guide is coming soon.

Men—it’s that time of year again for our annual retreat! We’ll be at a new location this year: Blue Mountain Camp in Hamburg, PA. The new spot is not only closer to home (about an hour from Phoenixville) but will also support a larger group than previous years (50 beds available) and won’t force anyone to sleep in a tent! We’re looking forward to exploring there.
The focus of our time together will be to fellowship, hang out, and rest. There will be several short sessions of Bible study and prayer, as well as a time of worship together on Sunday morning.
Questions? Contact retreat organizer, Josh Williams.
Further details and registration will be coming soon!

Mark your calendars for the next men's breakfast on March 28th, 7–9a with a focus on The Covenant Home: Faithfulness Under Christ. Our home is not just where we live; it is where Christ reigns, disciples are formed, and the gospel is practiced daily. Vic Arata will be speaking on a Recipe for Home Disciples and what that looks like: the Word central, grace visible, and mission active. So come to engage with other men about being a "man on a mission" at home, enjoy good food, and be encouraged by the testimony and fellowship of others.
Please RSVP sooner rather than later! While walk-ins are also welcome, it’s a huge help for leaders to know how much food to prepare and how many tables and chairs to set up.
Attendance is free, but if you’re able, a $3 donation at the door goes a long way to supporting men’s ministry events at Iron Works!

Ladies, come enjoy tea time on Saturday, March 21st from 10am to 12pm. Come mingle across generations over a cup of tea, and be refreshed and reminded that we are all walking on the path to heaven together.

After the service February 15, stay for lunch, yes, but also for IWC's annual church family meeting. We'll discuss the coming year and look back on what God did here last year. We're ordering pizza; please let us know that you’re coming (and if you can bring a salad or dessert) below!
Looking Back at Last Year: Hear from leadership about the ways we’ve seen God move—both within our church body as well as in our wider community—so that we might be encouraged and give thanks for God’s faithfulness.
Vision for the Year Ahead: What is the vision for IWC in the coming year, and how do we plan to get there? IWC leadership will present the aspirations for this year as well as the concrete steps we as a congregation will be taking to reach those goals.
Grab your comfiest pajamas and join us on February 7th, 9:30a–12p, for a cozy morning of lattes, breakfast, and real conversation with other women from Iron Works. Come as you are—no prep, no pressure—just a warm, welcoming morning to connect, laugh, and be encouraged. Feel free to come late and/or leave early, whatever your schedule allows. Bring a friend and a dish to share, if you’d like to.
An RSVP is much appreciated, but not required, by February 4th to help the hosts prepare food.
Questions? Contact Susie Adamson and Kelly Yodis.
What’s your purpose? What is your life built around? And what do you do when it seems your life’s mission and God’s are in conflict?
This breakfast’s topic, living for God’s glory by following Jesus, will open this year’s men’s ministry theme: “Man on a Mission.” Come on January 24th from 7–9a to worship through music; be encouraged through a testimony; and connect with other men in a meal, fellowship, and discussion of the keynote presentation. Officer nominations are here! Our elders and deacons play a huge role at Iron Works, so please take some time to prayerfully consider who you want to see fulfilling these roles. Nominations open on November 2nd, 2025, and are due by March 1st, 2026.
If you’re not familiar with the expectations, qualifications, and responsibilities of the elders and deacons, you can read them here.
Stay after the service to vote on candidates the IWC Session is recommending for election as church officers. In the meantime, we encourage you to spend time getting to know these men, who, if elected, will be leading and serving our church.
Your church home needs you on October 25th, from 8a–12p. There are a variety of maintenance tasks pending (including window cleaning, paint touch-ups, chair repairs, and cobweb removal), all of which will help to keep our building welcoming. So please come contribute your help!
We’ll meet for breakfast and coffee at 8a, then roll up our sleeves to knock out these tasks together. Please RSVP by October 20th.
