Men’s Retreat 2024
October 18–20 | Williamsport, PA
Registration open until October 4
Men—it’s that time of year again for our annual retreat! Once again we are headed to Williamsport, PA, where we have reserved two cabins for the weekend. The focus of our time together will be to fellowship, hang out, and rest. There will be several short sessions of Bible study and prayer, as well as a time of worship together on Sunday morning. Please plan on contributing to a meal for the group by bringing some supplies, food, or drinks. Spots are limited (18 for cabin & 10 for tents) so sign up today!
Questions? Contact retreat organizers, Josh Williams and Seth Hunter.
Costs
Cabin—$45
*Tent—$15
*Space in a large tent is available; either plan on bringing your own, or check with Josh Williams and Seth Hunter if you'd like to share.
If you’d like to come, but the fee is an obstacle for your family, please get in touch with Josh and Seth.
Lodging
Kitchens: The cabins each have a relatively full kitchen, including dishwasher, microwave, coffee pot and toaster, grill, and a full stock of firewood.
Linens: The cabin listing says it provides blankets, sheets, and pillows. Bring your own if you want; the provided linens are definitely "cabin" quality. One bunk area does not have any linens, so a few people will need to bring linens/sleeping bags.
Toiletries: Bring your own towel/shower stuff. Or don't shower, it's your call. This is a men's retreat, no one will judge you.
Meals
We are responsible for all our own meals, so please sign up for meals if you want to eat! Please fill out this form to bring either one dish or two other supplies (snacks, drinks, and other supplies) by October 4th.
Schedule
The retreat officially starts at 6p (Oct. 18) with dinner and devotions afterward. However…
Cabins open Oct. 18 at noon. Feel free to arrive at any time that you’re able, but please note that bunks are first-come, first-served, and some are nicer than others! Another incentive to come early—a group will be leaving at 1:30p to play frisbee golf nearby, if you’d like to join.
Other than meal times and devotions, we do not have a strict schedule we adhere to, and all activities are optional. Do as much as you want or relax by the fire as much as you want.
The retreat will conclude Sunday morning (Oct. 20), but cabins will be ours until 4 PM if you want to stick around.
We'd love for you to stay the whole time, but feel free to come late or leave early if you need to.
A Few more details…
Activities will include frisbee golf, hiking, cornhole, mountain biking, board games, poker, canjam, trip to New Trails Brewing Co, and plenty of fires.
The cabins are next to each other on the Loyalsock river. Feel free to bring a canoe, kayak, fishing rod, or swimsuit for the brave.
If you're interested in leading a devotion or playing guitar, please contact Josh and Seth.
Cell service can be very spotty - plan on being disconnected. And even if you have service, we really suggest putting away your phone for the weekend.
It's a long drive, and parking will not hold 20 cars - we encourage you to find others who are going and carpool. Talk to Josh and Seth if you're looking for a driving buddy.
