Nursery Caregiver Application
Description
Starting pay: $15–$20/hour
Schedule: 2+ Sundays/month from 8:30am to 12:30pm (additional hours available)
Education & Experience: High school degree and 1+ years experience in child care
Nursery Caregivers are required to have childcare clearances.
Nursery caregivers arrive on Sunday morning, before the children, and set up supplies for the kids. The caregiver greets parents, helps sign in their children, then cares for and plays with the babies and children as part of a team while parents attend the service. Nursery caregivers follow procedures to release children back to their parents, then close up the nursery.
Nursery caregivers are expected to arrive around 8:30am and can expect to leave most Sundays by 12:30pm. A few times a year there will be a post-service event happening requiring childcare. In these cases, church staff will contact nursery caregivers ahead of time to ask about availability for an extended shift.
Nursery caregivers interested in additional hours have the option to work for other IWC events (days/times vary), and/or a biweekly Sunday evening Bible study.
