What is Dollar-A-day?

Collecting a dollar each day helps us to stay mindful and prayerful of our brothers and sisters working in India. Get creative with how you engage! You might keep your handmade purse on the kitchen table as you work to fill it. You might add a sentence about the nations to your family prayers. Little steps, when taken together, will make a big impact. If every household in our church committed to just a dollar per day until July 1, we would raise the majority of what we need for this year’s work with GTi Hope.

How does dollar-a-day work?

  1. Take a handmade purse during the Sunday service on February 26 to serve as a reminder.

  2. Commit to collecting a dollar a day from now–July 1. Use your purse if it is helpful to you. 

  3. Submit what you’ve collected to Iron Works at the end of each month or at the end of the collection period. Earmark it as GTi-Hope / Dollar-A-Day. 

  4. Celebrate! We get to be a part of sharing Jesus with an unreached community. 

  5. Keep praying. At home, at church prayer meetings, or at our quarterly prayer calls for the nations.

Why GTI Hope?

GTi Hope is a highly effective ministry. Through national and local partners, GTi Hope is able to have a much greater impact than training and sending someone from another country. GTi Hope’s partners work in places and languages where they are indigenous or culturally adjacent. They are able to address spiritual issues with clear communication and cultural relevance. Under the oversight of regional churches, they are able to plant lasting churches in the communities they reach. Just one dollar given to GTi Hope makes a big impact.

What is happening with GTi Hope This year?

In 2022, we began a three-year church planting project for the “B” people group in India. Currently, literacy teachers are offering hygiene and literacy classes to the local community, building a relational foundation. On August 1, twelve church planters will be trained and sent out within the “B” community. Our goal is to pray consistently for these church planters and raise $12,000 to support them. This means, just $1000 can support one church planter for the entire year!
