Nursery Coordinator

Part-time: 4–8 hours/week
Reports to: Director of Family Ministry

REQUIREMENTS

For employment at Iron Works Church—

  • A gospel-centered and grace-oriented life.

  • A love for Jesus and His Church, demonstrated in service and faithfulness.

  • Full embrace of the vision, values, and statement of faith of Iron Works Church—including membership. 

For the position—

  • Detail-oriented

  • Strong communication skills

  • Anticipates needs and executes advance planning accordingly

  • 2 hours of regular in-person availability during the week (ideally on Tuesday mornings but there is some flexibility!)

  • Regular availability on Sunday mornings to check in on nursery and children’s church operations

JOB DESCRIPTION

The work of the nursery & children’s church coordinator is vital to supporting children and families’ growth by

  • Managing the nursery, including continuing to build a nursery volunteer team, setting a vision, and overseeing weekly operations.

  • Coordinating children’s church operations

RESPONSIBILITIES

Operations

  • Build effective systems for nursery and children’s church so programs run smoothly and flourish

  • Ensure logistics and other operational details are in place for all nursery and children’s church activities.

  • Build, train, and support nursery and children’s church volunteer teams. 

  • Maintain inventory of family ministry supplies.

  • Maintain the checkin system and provide tech support and troubleshooting as needed.

Families

  • Support enfolding and assimilation process for new families and their younger children.

  • Create systems for nursery and children’s church families to thrive and continue to grow, including in age transitions.

  • Other duties as assigned
